ANNA LEAHY is the author of the nonfiction book Tumor and the poetry collection Aperture and ANNA LEAHY is the author of the nonfiction book Tumor and the poetry collection Aperture and the co-author of Generation Space: A Love Story and Conversing with Cancer. Her essays have appeared at The Atlantic, Pop Sugar, The Southern Review, The Pinch, and elsewhere and won the top awards from Ninth Letter and Dogwood in 2016. Jenn purple crabapple resizedJennifer Givhan, a National Endowment for the Arts & PEN/Rosenthal Emerging Voices fellow, isJennifer Givhan, a National Endowment for the Arts & PEN/Rosenthal Emerging Voices fellow, is a Mexican-American writer & activist from the Southwestern desert. She is the author of three full-length poetry collections: Landscape with Headless Mama (2015 Pleiades Editors’ Prize), Protection Spell(2016 Miller Williams Poetry Prize Series edited by Billy Collins) & Girl with Death Mask (2017 BlueLight Books Prize chosen by Ross Gay & forthcoming from Indiana University Press). She earned her MFA in Poetry from Warren Wilson College and her Master’s in English from California State University Fullerton. Her honors include the Frost Place Latin@ Scholarship, a National LatinoWriters’ Conference Scholarship, the Lascaux Review Poetry Prize, Phoebe Journal’s GregGrummer Poetry Prize chosen by Monica Youn, the Pinch Poetry Prize chosen by Ada Limón, &seven Pushcart nominations. Her work has appeared in Best of the Net, Best New Poets, Poetry Daily,Verse Daily, Ploughshares, POETRY, TriQuarterly, Boston Review, AGNI, Crazyhorse, Witness, SouthernHumanities Review, Missouri Review, & The Kenyon Review, among many others. She teaches at The Poetry Barn and Western New Mexico University.
